Carbon Zero Company

As part of our commitment to protect the environment and help tackle climate change, we have offset the carbon dioxide emissions that Navetas Energy Management creates to achieve "CarbonZero" accreditation.

To achieve this status and become a CarbonZero Company we have been working with carbon management company co2balance to calculate our carbon footprint, and then offset our carbon emissions through their Energy Efficiency Stove Project.

The project builds energy saving cooking stoves to local families in Kenya. The stoves replace fuel intensive open fires and reduce the amount of firewood needed for cooking by 70%.

As well as saving carbon emissions, the project has social and financial benefits to the community as well as an environmental one. The stoves reduce the amount of time spent collecting firewood, are built locally (creating employment), and the reduced need for firewood helps prevent deforestation.
