Interactive House Introduction
The Interactive House demonstration shows how the Navetas Technology, Powered by ISE allows consumers to really understand the energy they are consuming in the home by appliance. On the demonstration, users will be able to enter a room of the Interactive House and switch appliances on and off and view in real time which appliances are consuming the most energy.
Not only will the Interactive House show energy consumption in real–time, but it will also record the historical profile information for the House and carbon generated by appliance.
There are two Interactive Houses operating simultaneously, and it should be possible for site visitors to access a House instantly. If there is heavy demand, information on when the next house is going to become available is denoted on the left hand side of the page.
Take control of an Interactive House by clicking on the take control button. Once in control you can move from room to room in the House by clicking on the required room. To move to another room click on the 'back to home' icon and select another room from this point.
Turning appliances on and off
Once into a selected room of the Interactive House, users can switch the appliances on and off by clicking on the power icon next to their chosen appliance.
Once on, the real time energy display provides information on the total energy being used.
Adjusting the Time
By using the clock to speed up time, users who are in control are able to adjust the time so they can get a better understanding of the impact made when appliances are turned on and off. This is shown through the current usage and historical data.
Understanding the energy display
The energy display on the left hand side of the page will show users what energy is being consumed in the House. The green/yellow and red segments on the outside of the dial highlights whether the energy consumption is economical, average or above average. The numerical display in the middle of the dial shows the total KWh being used in the House.
Should users want to see more appliance specific details, users have the ability to click on the appropriate appliance group to view specific appliance consumption information.
